Most yoga students start on the mat, learning sun salutations, tree pose, or warrior pose. Over time many of us realize that we actually leave yoga class feeling peaceful and at ease, refreshed and open to possibility.
Learning more about the philosophy behind the practice provides a context for this feeling, and explains why a healthy mind-body connection matters.
Taking the yoga with us means practicing it in our relationships, at our workplace, and in the way that we treat ourselves and others...
So we feel this sense of peace and ease in all aspects of our lives.
Hello! My name is Kat Wheatley.
I've joyfully been a certified Yoga Teacher since 2013. Prior to that I worked in Mental Health.
I'm currently enrolled in an 800 Hour Yoga Therapy program and will graduate in the Spring of 2025.
I have extensive experience teaching a variety of yoga classes including Hatha, Vinyasa (power yoga to slow flow), Gentle, Restorative, Yin, and more.
I hold an MA in psychology, am a 500 RYT and YACEP provider with Yoga Alliance, and a student member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. I am also a Level II Reiki provider and certified Sound Healer.
I offer Private Yoga Therapy at Key Largo Yoga, in person or online.
In addition to Yoga Therapy I teach weekly classes, offer monthly workshops and sound baths, and am available for onsite yoga.
Private Sessions are booked by appointment. My group classes meet Mondays at 10am and Friday afternoons at 4:30pm.

A sound bath to cultivate compassion and kindness.
$20 per participant, no experience necessary.
Incorporating The 8 Limbs of Yoga Into Your Practice
Saturday August 16th, 12pm - 2pm
Expanding your knowledge of yoga creates a richer and more meaningful experience on the mat.
Workshop will be a combination of discussion and practice. $35 per person.
Gentle Mid-Day Flow
Wednesday August 20th, 2pm - 3pm
Take a break from your busy day and join me for a slow, steady, soothing practice.

A powerful guided meditation practice that draws you into a healing state of deep relaxation.
