Most yoga students start on the yoga mat learning sun salutations, tree pose, or a warrior pose. Over time many of us realize that we often leave yoga class feeling peaceful and at ease, refreshed and open to possibility.
Taking a deeper dive into the philosophy behind the practice provides a context for this feeling, for the healthy mind-body connection we feel.
Taking the yoga with us means practicing it in our relationships, at our workplace, and in the way that we treat ourselves and others...
So we feel at ease in all aspects of our lives.
Hello! My name is Kat Wheatley.
I've joyfully been a certified Yoga Teacher since 2013. Prior to that I worked in Mental Health.
I'm currently enrolled in an 800 Hour Yoga Therapy program and will graduate in the Spring of 2025.
I have extensive experience teaching a variety of yoga classes including Hatha, Vinyasa (power yoga to slow flow), Gentle, Restorative, Yin, and more.
I hold an MA in psychology, am a 500 RYT and YACEP provider with Yoga Alliance, and a student member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. I am also a Level II Reiki provider and certified Sound Healer.
I offer Private Yoga, Yoga Education for Wellness & Therapy,
Yoga Workshops, Sound Baths, and group yoga classes at Key Largo Yoga, both in person and online.
Private Sessions are booked by appointment. My group classes meet Mondays at 10am and Friday afternoons at 4:30pm.

Every Tuesday in October at 12pm Kat will be offering an opportunity for Upper Keys residents to experience Therapeutic Yoga in a group setting at Key Largo Yoga. This class is perfect for anyone interested in using Yoga to improve their everyday lives. Each meeting will highlight one aspect of life and explore how the practice and principles of Yoga can be applied in a therapeutic way to effect growth and change.

Kat is offering this service free of charge, but welcomes donations. No advance registration needed. Everyone is welcome. Participants may wish to bring a journal or notebook, and can attend as often as they like.
