Most yoga students start on the mat learning sun salutations, tree pose, or warrior pose. Over time many of us realize that we actually leave yoga class feeling peaceful and at ease, refreshed and open to possibility.
Learning more about the philosophy behind the practice provides a context for this feeling, and explains why a healthy mind-body connection matters.
Taking the yoga with us means practicing it in our relationships, at our workplace, and in the way that we treat ourselves and others...
So we feel this sense of peace and ease in all aspects of our lives.

My name is Kat Wheatley and I'm a Certified Yoga Therapist.
I work one-on-one with clients using both the practice and the underlying principles of yoga to help each individual better understand their state of being so they can transform their lives and reach their goals.
I have both undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology, and worked in mental health for nearly a decade before becoming a yoga teacher.
I am a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance.
I have been teaching yoga classes and private yoga for more than a dozen years.
I have the experience and knowledge necessary to help guide my clients in identifying their needs, and to find the right set of yoga practices and principles to help them reach their goals.

My home studio is in Key Largo, Florida. You'll find me there teaching weekly classes, offer workshops and sound healing sessions, and seeing private yoga therapy clients, either in person or online.
Private Sessions are booked by appointment. My group classes meet Mondays at 10am and Fridays at 10am and 4:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome to group classes and most events.

Yoga Therapy combines the practice of yoga with the philosophical framework that underlies it, creating a new lens through which to see ourselves nd the world around us.
Sessions are tailored to meet each client's individual needs, helping them to create a yoga practice that leads to successful and lasting lifestyle changes.
Yoga Therapy honors the mind-body connection that determines our mental, physical and emotional state of being. Recognizing the reciprocity between heart and mind, breath and body, we are able to determine what we need in order to feel joy, freedom and peace.
